There are a few different island events this weekend to celebrate Earth Day. On Saturday, the Maui Nui Botanical Gardens in Kahului will be hosting its fifth annual Earth Day Celebration between the hours of 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. The event features Hawaiian Games, Food Booths, Hawaiian Plant Sales, musical entertainment by George Kahumoku Jr. and more. This will be a celebration of the beautiful natural environment of the Hawaiian Islands and Hawaiian Culture.
On Sunday, there will be an Earth Day Festival at Baldwin Beach Park just outside of Paia. This family event runs from 10:00 AM to sunset. It will feature food, music and information on the environment.
