First Day of Summer on Maui

Today is the summer solstice and the first day of summer. It has been a beautiful day here on Maui with some much needed rain this morning followed by clear blue skies and cooling trade winds.

You would think summer time would be hot on Maui. Having lived in diverse places like Connecticut, Florida, Virginia, Utah and Colorado, I can say that my summer's on Maui have had the most pleasant weather of all.
