Makawao Rodeo and Parade
As mentioned in a recent blog post, the Makawao Rodeo and Parade is being held this weekend. The rodeo starts tonight and runs through Sunday up at Oskie Rice Arena located off Olinda Road above Makawao town. This event draws Paniolos from all over the state to Maui's beautiful Upcountry. The parade will be held tomorrow morning through downtown Makawao. It is always a great time for the Keikis. The whole weekend is a great celebration of the area's cowboy culture so dust off your cowboy boots, shine your belt buckle and get on up to Makawao town for all of the festivities.
