This is a post that is somewhat tangential to Green building and architecture, but I thought it may be of interest to some who are visiting Maui in the future. If you seek out green products and you are planning a vacation on Maui, you may want to consider renting a Bio-diesel rental car. Bio-Beetle is a rental car company on Maui that offers VW Beetles, VW Jettas and Jeeps. All are run on Bio-diesel from the Pacific Bio-Diesel station in Kahului.
