A Couple of Christmas Tree Options on Maui’s North Shore

If you are in the search for a Christmas Tree on Maui, I have a couple of good options in the Paia and Haiku area.

Paia Elementary is having their annual Christmas Tree Fundraiser. The PTA for Paia School orders a refrigerated container of Noble, Douglas and Grand Fir Trees from Oregon every year. The trees are always fresh and aromatic. Trees average about 5-6 feet in height. You can buy a tree at Paia School on Baldwin Avenue this coming Saturday from 9:00-2:00 PM. It should be a fun day at the School. In addition to the tree sale, Santa will be on hand for photos from 9:00-11:00. There will also be music, artists booths and cookies. Trees will be $65 on the day of the event. You can still order early at a discount via Paypal at The Paia School PTA website. All of the proceeds will help support the students of Paia School.

If you are interested in cutting your own tree, head up to Mea Makamae Ranch in Haiku. Located at 1950 West Kuiaha Road, just below the intersection with Kaupakalua, you can pick your own Cook Pine Christmas Tree. Trees come in all shapes and sizes. The Cook Pines are great for hanging heavy ornaments due to their sturdy branches. As of right now, you can cut a tree by appointment only. Call 283-3799. As of December 2nd, Mea Makamae will be open Monday through Friday from 4-6 PM and Saturday and Sunday from 1-6. We cut the Jalbert family tree there last year as seen in this video.

Mea Makamae Ranch is also listed for sale. This is a 38 acre property with a beautiful custom home, detached deluxe cottage and plenty of pasture and equestrian infrastructure for those that are looking for a horse property. You can see photos and additional details on The Mea Makamae listing page. Contact The Maui Real Estate Team with questions or to arrange an exclusive showing of this beautiful Maui Ranch Property.
