A Couple of Quick Friday Notes

I have been delinquent in my blogging as it has been another busy week for the Maui Real Estate Team. There were four new escrows opened in the office, a few closes and a lot of showings. I just wanted to provide a couple of quick notes before I headed out for the day.

The See Forever Estate Dutch Auction is progressing. There was another price drop yesterday. The new list price for this home is $2,640,000. This is a really amazing property and now a pretty compelling luxury value. Someone is going to get a one of a kind home well below replacement cost.

There is lot going on this weekend with plenty of events to choose from throughout Maui. I noticed that earth day events have been a little more spread out this year. There is a belated opportunity to give back to the aina at the Paia Youth and Cultural Center. The Upcountry Sustainability group will be meeting at the Youth Center to clean area beaches starting at 9:45. After the clean up, there will be a potluck held. Participants are encouraged to bring locally sourced food dishes.

Speaking of local food, one of Maui’s most famous vegetables is being celebrated tomorrow. The 21st annual Maui Onion Festival is being held at Whalers Village. The event will feature contests, games, cooking demonstration, recipe contests, food booths and more. Admission is free. These are just a couple of the fun events on tap. We hope everyone has a great aloha Friday and a fun safe weekend.
