Situated smack dab in the middle of the Pacific, Maui has its fair share of Asian influences. You can see it in our local real estate where Japanese, Chinese, Thai and Indonesian inspired designs are evident around the island. You can also see it in the landscape and gardens around some island residences. I recently had the opportunity to show a beautiful home that was designed and built by a Zen Buddhist. The home design and surrounding gardens reflected the owner’s belief systems. As my client was making his way around the home, I enjoyed some time by the koi pond. I thought it was worth sharing a little zen moment from this property.
