The Paia Youth and Cultural Center has a lot of great programs for the kids on Maui’s Northshore. Whether it is learning how to run a restaurant at the Paia Bay Cafe, skateboarding at the Stonewave skate park or learning computer skills in the technology lab. Now kids are learning the world of broadcast. As of Saturday, 17 June 2006, KOPO youth radio – RadiOpio – is on air broadcasting from PYCC. Located at 89.5 FM, They have been heard in Central Maui, South Maui and the Upcounty in places such as Kula, Maui Meadows, and Happy Valley. Questions, comments, please send to KOPO program director Laura Civitello, at [email protected]
