While last weekend West Maui hosted the Mercedes Championship, this weekend there will be a PGA event in South Maui. The Wendy’s Championship Skins Game senior PGA event will be hosted at the Wailea Gold Course. This event brings some of golf’s legends to Maui to play for high stakes. Four teams of two will battle for a purse that totals $800,000. The four teams are Tom Watson and Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer and Loren Roberts, Gary Player and Jay Haas, and Raymond Floyd and Dana Quigley. That is about a legendary line up as you can find. A pro-am is being held today with the first nine holes of the Skins game slated to start tomorrow morning at 8:00 AM. They play the back nine Sunday starting at 9:00 AM.
