The Gallery is Closed. You can still buy Avi’s art on his website.
Our friends Avi Kiriaty and family have opened a new gallery in Paia. The great space is located on Hana Highway across from Anthony’s Coffee and two doors east of the Flatbread Company. Avi is a tremendously gifted artist who focuses on Polynesian lifestyle and landscapes. He draws inspiration from many years spent in Hawaii and the Society Islands. You can purchase both originals and giclees from the gallery.
The space is beautiful and simple with a black walls and dark stained concrete walls that really make Avi’s use of vibrant colors pop out on the canvas. There is also a beautiful wooden bar where Avi’s daughter Keytoe Kiriaty sets up shop. In addition to answering questions and assisting sales, she can often be seen adding to the colors of the giclees. In addition to the paintings displayed, a more comprehensive inventory of Avi’s paintings is on display via a flat screen. His work is also featured extensively at the new Paia Inn. Gallery hours are still flexible, but Keytoe will likely be staying open a little later into the evening. Interested parties may also make appointments with Keytoe. Next time you are in Paia town, stop on by and check out Avi’s beautiful new space!
On a related note, another Paia gallery will be having an opening reception tonight. The Paia Contemporary Gallery will be having a new show featuring Jin Won Chang and Sharon Lindenfeld. The show will run from June 20th until July 11th. They will have a reception tonight from 6:00-9:00PM. The contemporary gallery is four doors west of Avi’s Gallery on Hana Highway.
