There are lots of events on tap this weekend all over the Valley Isle. Kapalua is holding its annual Life Fest starting today. This health and wellness event features a keynote speach by renowned leader in integrative medicine Andrew Weil. Other events include discussions on Hawaiian wellness practices, healthy cooking demonstrations, yoga and more! Click here for a complete schedule of events.

The Taste of Lahaina and the Best of Island Music is also happening this weekend. This event is held Friday and Saturday night at the Lahaina Recreation Park behind the soccer field. The event featutres a beer and wine garden, country store, 25 restaurant tents and live entertainment from a variety of island musicians. Admission is $5. There is also preferred VIP admission for $75 which includes special parking, a sit down dining area with food from 5 of the participating restaurants and preferred seating for the Hawaiian Music concert. If you are driving the road to Hana on Saturday, keep an eye out for Runners competing in the Hana Relay. The 52 mile 6 person relay is another fun event. The event provides an opportunity for both serious runners and those who are just looking to have a good time. The race will start near the airport with the first heats headed out at 5:00 AM and ends at the Hana Ball Park.

MAPA (the Maui Academy of Performing Arts ) is having its annual Garden Party fundraiser this Sunday from 1:00 to 5:00 PM at the Yokouchi Family Estate at 2471 Main Street in Wailuku. The event includes a Chef’s Festival featuring some of Maui’s finest restaurants and a live and silent auction. Tickets for the fundraiser are $50.

No matter where you are on Maui this weekend, it looks like there are lots of fun events on tap.
