The Paia Youth and Cultural Center’s (PYCC) big fundraiser Casino de Mayo is only one week away! The event will be held Saturday May 5th from 6:00-10:00 PM at the Maui Country Club in Spreckelsville. This is the event of the year on Maui’s North Shore. Casino de Mayo will include musical entertainment from Kelly Covington and friends with special guest Lilly Meola. The Kit Kat Club Cabaret is also scheduled to take the stage. Monte Carlo Games will be operating no wager tables for roulette, black jack, craps and poker. The Maui Country Club will be catering with heavy pupus and cocktails. The board of the PYCC is also very excited to have Garnish Events at Casino De Mayo preparing gourmet cocktails.
Tickets are $150 and may be purchased at Wings Hawaii in Paia and Antique Boutique in Makawao. Tickets may also be purchased online. We even have some tickets available at The Maui Real Estate Team office. We are still welcoming live and silent auction donations and door prizes for the the event. PYCC’s mission is “building community through our youth.” PYCC is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation funded by grants from the Maui County Department of Housing & Human Concerns, the State of Hawaii Office of Youth Services, private foundations, community donations, and fundraisers. PYCC is a program based youth center located on the beach at Paia Bay. Members enjoy operating and dj’ing at youth operated radiOpio, skating at the Stonewave Skate Park, Creating at the Hekili Multi-media lab, cooking in the Paia Bay Cafe and community activities via the Malama Pono program. PYCC offers a safe and fun environment for the youth of Paia and surrounding communities. The staff and their well designed programs also teach important life skills.
