Best of Milo Court

It’s always a pleasure to bring a property to market that stands out from the pack. This townhome in Milo Court certainly fits that description. I did the research before I listed the property. I have yet to find another townhome in this development or its sister development Kamani that have the same number of upgrades inside and out. This post walks you through the highlights.

The highly upgraded kitchen area of this Milo Court Condo

Let’s start in the kitchen. The owner replaced the original developer countertops with Soapstone. They replaced the island counter top with an acacia wood slab. A tile back splash helps to make things pop.

The living room of

If you have yet to tour a condo in Milo Court, the photo above shows the open concept living area on the entry level. Upgrades visible in the two photos above include the luxury vinyl plank flooring, a projection TV and a framed screen area. The laundry room is just off the kitchen area. The seller added a motion light which means no fumbling for the light switch when carrying your laundry basket. Not visble in the photos above is the powder room. The seller upgraded this space with an antique vanity with pedestal sink.

The three bedrooms and two bathrooms are downstairs in this floor plan. One thing you notice immediately on the bedroom level is the flooring. The seller went with polished concrete floors that are both attractive and cool under foot.

302 Lau Manamana Master Bedroom

The master suite is quite spacious with room for a California King, a desk and more. There is a walk in closet with plenty of built in shelving for storage. The seller also installed cedar ceilings in the closet.

The seller completely overhauled the master bathroom. The marble countertops on the vanity are striking. There is a walk in shower with pebble flooring, pebble accents and a rain shower head. Built in shelving cap off the master bath upgrades.

While the inside of the home is impressive, the improvements to the outdoor spaces are just as striking. There is a redwood deck off the master suite. Heleconia and Areca Palms add beauty and privacy to the space. Outdoor lighting makes the space come alive at night.

the back lanai is a great space for evening entertainment

There is a spacious, well landscaped side yard. The seller terraced the yard with hand built walls. A striking redwood stair case provide access from street level to the yard area. The photo below shows only a portion of the yard space. A storage shed outside the frame of the photo is included in the sale.

In addition to the upgrades already mentioned, the home has an owned photovoltaic system to help keep utility bills down. There is also a water softener. This isn’t a fully comprehensive list of upgrades. There are other upgrades that you will have to see for yourself.

Farm

You don’t have to ride a horse to to love the potential of the ranch. This would be an ideal property for other types of farming. The soil is good thanks to its history as pasture land dating back to the mid 1940s. Unlike a lot of land in Haiku, there is no residual plastic residue from cane or pineapple farming. There are citrus trees on the property and plenty of land available to plant additional orchards. There is a dormant Christmas Tree farm, but plenty of inventory available for next year’s holiday season.

The Barn

The massive barn offers plenty of room to store farm equipment or horse trailers. It could also be the ultimate home base for the Maui Adventure Seeker. The current owners took advantage of the high ceilings and oversized doors to store an R-44 Helicopter, a 30 foot surf rescue boat, jet skis, big-wave boards, mountain bikes, cars and trucks.

There is a massive grid tied solar system on the roof of barn to help keep down utility costs for the property.

The barn has plenty of room for agricultural equipment or toys.

A Well Loved Property

When the developers of this property first purchased this property, the valley was dense jungle. They slowly began to clear the property keeping a selection of larger common mango trees, and kukui trees. The original owners cleared home sites for the Ocean House and the Sky House. They planted beautiful gardens and an orchard. The owners lovingly constructed the two homes. They hand selected timbers for the homes, laid mosaic tiles for the pools and bathrooms and carved tikis in support posts.
