Chinese New Year

One of my favorite aspects of Maui is its multiculturalism. You see a tremendous diversity of culture ranging from Hawaiian and other Polynesian cultures, to Asian culture and European. Over the last few days, places throughout Maui have been celebrating the Chinese New Year. Billy and I had the opportunity to attend one of those celebrations at the Green Banana Cafe in Paia yesterday. Here are some sites and sounds from yesterday’s festivities.

We wanted to say Gong Hey Fat Choy to all the readers of our blog. We hope you have a happy, healthy and prosperous year of the rabbit.
