The field for the 2007 EA Sports Maui Invitational basketball tournament was announced last week. The 2007 field will feature some of the best teams in the nation. Arizona State, Duke, Illinois, Louisiana State, Marquette, Oklahoma State and Princeton will join host Chaminade. Duke is a three time winner of the tournament. This year’s tourney is just as exciting with a field that includes Arizona, Arkansas, Connecticut, Gonzaga, Kansas, Maryland and Michigan State. The 2005 tournament will be held November 21, 22, and 23d. A limited number of all day tickets will go on sale Friday, October 7th at Noon at select island locations. If you are interested in purchasing tickets, you can go to one of the Maui’s three Island Taco locations and Anthony’s Coffee in Paia. Ticket purchases are cash only with a maximum of two per person. The EA Sports Maui Invitational is the premier early season NCAA basketball tournament. The invitational has been bringing high quality basketball to Maui for 21 years.
