I kept a pretty close tab on the debate over a new Maui Bed and Breakfast ordinance on the Maui Real Estate Blog. Now that the new ordinance has been implemented, the county of Maui is co-hosting an event for the general public to educate themselves on the new bill. The Maui Vacation Rental Association will be co-hosting a forum with the County of Maui on Wednesday night at the Hannibal Tavares Community Center in Pukalani from 6:30-9:00 PM. This is an opportunity for parties interested in offering short term rentals at their home an opportunity to learn more about the rules and requirements and what they will need to do in order to apply for a bed and breakfast license.
