For those that are looking for things to do this weekend on Maui, there are a couple of pretty good options to consider. One of Maui’s best Fourth of July traditions happens in the Upcountry. The Fourth of July Rodeo has been underway since yesterday at the Oskie Rice Arena just above Makawao Town. Tonight is one of the highlights of the event with the “Bull Bash” at 7:00 PM. Tomorrow morning is the Fourth of July parade through the heart of Makawao. The parade starts at 9:00 AM. You may want to arrive early to stake out a good viewing spot. The rodeo itself continues on Saturday and Sunday.

The place to be for Fireworks tomorrow is Front Street in Lahaina. Front Street tends to get packed so it is best to arrive early to find parking and a good viewing spot. There is music on the library lawn while you wait for the aerial display. The fireworks start at 8:30.
