Tomorrow Saturday May 5th is the 18th annual Haiku Ho’olaule’a and Flower Festival at the Haiku Community Center. The event benefits the Haiku school, Haiku Boys and Girls club and the Haiku Community Association for local youth activities and enrichment. This year’s theme is “Our Kuleana”. The green oriented theme focuses on taking responsibility for ourselves, our keiki and the community. Non profits and sustainability oriented businesses will be on hand.

The Ho’olaule’a is always lots of fun for island residents and visitors alike. The event features great food from local restaurants, a bake sale, farmer’s market, lei and floral contests, plant sale, arts and crafts, a silent auction, book sale, a display on Haiku history, pony rides, jumpy castles and lot of other games for the keiki. Entertainment scheduled includes Dr. Nat, Cathy Collins, LiA Live with the Kryptones, Sundance, Kanekoa, Bing Cherry and performances by Haiku School Students. The fun starts at 9:00 AM and runs to 4:30PM. Head on out to the North Shore tomorrow for a great community event.
