Hawaii Land Starting at $39.95?

Categorize this opportunity as too good to be true. People with a lot of patience and a good sense of humor are being given the opportunity to purchase land on the still submerged Loihi Volcano. The Hawaiian Islands have been created over time as the Pacific Plate has moved over a hot spot in the earth’s mantle. This hot spot is responsible for the volcanic activity on the Big Island and it is responsible for the creation of the Loihi Volcano. This growing sea mount will likely break the surface of the Pacific 10,000 years or more from now. Capitalizing on the demand for Hawaii property and exhibiting a good sense of humor, a parody website has been created offering information on subdivisions, investment potential and more. The highlight of the site is a picture of the sales office, a rubber dinghy with an umbrella located in the ocean over the volcano. As a realtor and a geology geek, I got a kick out of this one.
