It is almost fall on Maui. For residents along the North Shore this means the return of winter season surf. Increased storm activity in the Northern Pacific over the next month will start to bring swells to the northern and western facing coastlines providing thrills for wave riders. Even those who don’t surf can enjoy the splendor of big waves. This is especially the case when the swells are large enough to bring the legendary big wave break Jaws to life. A handful of times each winter, residents and visitors will line the cliffs of Haiku to see wave riders charge down wave faces that can range anywhere from 20 to 70 feet in height. The beauty, power and thunder of the waves is truly one of nature’s great spectacles.
Over the years, I have seen a few real estate listings that have boasted views of Jaws from the property. This is something of a dubious claim due to the cliff front. That being said, there is a new listing that came on the market in the last week that can legitimately boast views of the famous Maui big wave break. This 20.5 acre oceanfront parcel is located just to the east of Jaws and offers great and unique views of the left. This vacant land parcel with private well is a one of a kind estate property. This lot is listed through Coldwell Banker Island Properties for $3,500,000. The Maui Real Estate Team may represent you as buyer’s agents. Contact us for additional information.
