- Kamaole Sands is situated on 15 acres across from Kamaole III Beach Park.
- There are ten four story buildings on the property with a total of 440 units.
- The bulk of the condos have a one bedroom, two bath floor plan. There are also two bedroom, two bath room floor plans and a limited number of three bedroom floor plans.
- Location is a significant determinant for values at Kamaole Sands. Units in Building 10, the closest building to the beach, tend to cost the most. The buildings that face the interior courtyard tend to be valued next highest. The least expensive units are in the outer buildings 4, 9 and 8.
- Kamaole Sands amenities include a pool, kid’s pool, barbecue areas and four tennis courts.
- The condo development is apartment-zoned, but vacation rentals are currently allowed by county ordinance. Due to the post-Lahaina fire housing crisis, the Mayor of Maui recently proposed a prohibition on short-term rentals on properties with apartment zoning. Buyers interested in vacation renting when they are not visiting should do their due diligence before making a purchase.
- Kamaole Sands offers an onsite rental program, but many owners also use offsite rental companies or VRBO.
