The final vote on approval of Kapalua Mauka has been postponed until February 3rd. The delay was requested by county attorneys to insure that changes in the affordable housing component of the project did not conflict with the county rezoning bill. The delay allowed critics of the project another opportunity to voice concerns. The loudest complaints focused on infrastructure and whether the developers are contributing enough in light of the potential impact on the community.
