The 83rd Maui County Fair is scheduled for this weekend at the War Memorial Complex in Wailuku. The festivities started today with a parade from Maui Community College up Kaahumanu Avenue towards Wailuku and onto the fairgrounds via Kanaloa Avenue. The fair will run all weekend featuring lots of food, games, rides and entertainment for the whole family. The event will run from 5:00 PM to 11:00PM today, 5:00 PM to Midnight Friday, 10:00 AM to midnight Saturday and 5:00 PM to 11:00 PM on Sunday. Tickets are $3.50 for adults, $1.50 for children 5 to 11 and free for kids 4 and under. Over 100,000 visited the four day event. In order to accomodate the crowds, there will be shuttle parking at the Wells Park and Kalana O Maui Building parking lots and Maui Community College soccer fields and Keopuolani Park. You may also want to bring some rain gear the first two days. The remnants of tropical storm Kenneth are likely to bring a little rain to the Valley Isle.
