Maui Tropical Estate

I just wanted to remind everyone about Billy’s great listing the Maui Tropical Estate. This beautiful home consists of three structures on just over 2 acres. It is almost ocean front with only one home between the estate and the ocean. It has spectacular views of the Pacific. The main house is 3 bedrooms and 2 baths with 2,300 feet of living space. There is a detached 2 bedroom/ 1 bath cottage with 850 square feet of living space. The detached two car garage has a second story studio/workshop. All three structures feature incredibly high quality finishing with only the highest quality materials.

The Maui Tropical Estate was designed by its owner Arik Salvador. He drew upon influences from other tropcial climates to create the home. Indonesian and Balinese architecture were important. That is evident both in the roofline and through Indonesian accents like the beautiful antique Javanese door on the front of the house. Less evident, but important is the double roof on the main house. This design feature is very popular in Bali and its purpose is quite practical. The double roofs serve to keep the house significantly cooler during the warmest times of year in tropical climates. While this properties Haiku location is quite pleasant 99% of the year, this feature is tremendously helpful on warm summer days.

Arik put a lot of thought into the layout of the house as well. While it is ideal for views, the angle of the home is such that its outdoor lanai and living space is sheltered from the prevailing weather. Even on the gustiest days, the deckspace is calm with only a slight cooling breeze passing through.

The Maui Tropical Estate is an extremely well designed home with the highest quality materials and workmanship in its construction. If you are interested in seeing this beautiful property contact Billy todat at (808) 283-6377 or send us an e-mail.

The Maui Tropical Estate is listed at $2,195,000.00
