Topics

Maui has hosted a slack key guitar festival for over 13 years. For the first time, the Valley Island will hold its own Ukulele festival. With a strong history of great Ukulele players on the island, it is exciting to see this festival come to fruition. The festival will be at the Maui Arts and Cultural Center’s A and B amphitheater tomorrow Sunday October 15th from 2:00 to 6:00 PM. Performers will include greats such as Herb Ohta with guitarist Nando Suan, Holunape, Manoa DNA, Hula Honeys, Da ‘Ukulele Boys, Kalama ‘Ukulele Band, Alu Like ‘Ukulele Kapuna and more. In addition to the great entertainers there will be door prizes as well as food. The best part of all is that the event is free! The show will be at the Maui Arts and Cultural Center’s A and B amphitheater running from 2:00 to 6:00 PM. If you are looking for a great thing to do on a Sunday afternoon, stop by the Maui Arts and Cultural Center.
