Tonight is the Grand Opening for the Northshore Arts and Healing Center. The center opened for business right around the holidays and hit the ground running. The center has attracted some great local visual and healing artists while offering classes to kids and adults. My niece and nephew have been attending their after school art classes with Anna Keay and have been having a blast! Owners Sara and Chad Skowronski describe their vision for the North Shore Arts and Healing Center as follows.
We are a family owned business that came to Maui to create our dream of opening an art studio/gallery and healing center all in one. We are a space designed to provide inspiration to those who seek the path to their dreams. The NAHC is a springboard for those talented individuals in the fine and healing arts that are not meant to work in isolation, trying to make it on their own, but rather through a dedicated community network. You are invited to join this network.
Now that they have been in operation for a couple of months, they are hosting a party to celebrate the center and to better introduce themselves to the local community. Here is a run down on tonight’s events:
Meet the Northshore Arts and Healing Center’s community of local artists and healers Art Therapist Sara Skowronski and Talk Story Therapist Sabrina Lee Dixon. Pupus and Drinks will be offered.
They will be having two talented Local Ice Carvers. Private Chef Christopher Kasin and Aloha Ice Sculptor Sean Kaumeheiwa will be partnering to create a masterpiece out of ice.
There will be a performance of West African Pulse with Lisa Anderson, Baba and friends at 6pm
Raffle! – McVay Hand Blown Glass, Anne Provost Matted 4†X 6†Beatles prints, Dolphin Dave Posters, Nutrition Consultations,
Seashell Mosaic Picture Frame and other surprise items
Proceeds will go towards the Paia Youth and Cultural Center NAHC Art Fund to benefit their local art programs.
Silent Auction: Anna Keay Tropical Flower Giclee, Dan Tracy Islands in the Ocean Coffee Table, Dolphin Dave’s Original Oil Painting, Unique Mosaic Table, Original Oil Painting of John Lennon and an Ono Gelato Cake.
The center will also be offering 40% off on selected artwork.

This should be a great event. While you are in Paia, there will be a some other merchants staying open late for last minute Valentine’s Day gifts including Indigo. They will be hosting their own event with a new photo expedition by owner Daniel Sullivan and music from Karen B.
