Not a Typo

I have the local multiple listing service database set up so that I get automatic e-mail notifications when a new listing comes on the market for properties that may be of interest to one of my clients. Every once in a while, listings will pop up where the listing agent makes a typo on the data entry. Moving a decimal point a couple of places in the wrong direction can make a small lot huge and vice versa. Earlier this week, I received an automatic update that I thought had to have been the result of a data entry error. The acreage was gigantic and the price was the highest I had ever seen to date on Maui. I looked the new listing up and there were no errors to be found.

The new listing in question is the beautiful Hana Ranch in East Maui. Hana Ranch consists of approximately 4500 acres. That 4500 acres includes almost three miles of oceanfront. Elevations for the property range from sea level to almost 2200 feet. There are 90 separate parcels included in the 4500 acres. The acreage is served by two private water systems that are currently utilized at less than 25% capacity. In addition to the acreage, there is also a newer 2 bed/2 bath 2,200 square foot home. The price tag also includes the ranch’s 1200 head cattle operation. The price tag for the whole enchilada is $65,000,000. This property is listed through Island Sotheby’s International Realty. The Jalbert brothers may represent you as buyer’s agents. Contact us for additional information on this one of a kind listing.
