Official April Maui Real Estate Statistics

The Realtors Association of Maui posted the official April Maui Real Estate Statistics yesterday. There were no new sales reported after I posted my Unofficial statistics on May 2nd. There is of course a little more depth and granularity with comparative data through 2004 and information on statistics for specific communities. I also think it is worth looking at RAM chief staff executive Terry Tolman’s comments. Of particular interest are the numbers he is tracking on island inventory. This is a number that is worth keeping an eye on as we saw inventory shrink across all three property types. Shrinking inventory is a likely precursor to a healthier market. The question remains as to whether this is a legitimate decrease in inventory of if some would be sellers have temporarily pulled their homes off the market during what is traditionally a slower market between winter and summer visitor season. Please contact us today if you have any questions or if you need assistance with buying or selling in the Maui Real Estate market.
