Official September 2010 Maui Real Estate Statistics

Last week, the Realtors Association of Maui posted their official Real Estate Statistics for the month of September. There were a few additional closes that were reported after I posted my unofficial September Maui Real Estate Statistics on October 2nd. The number of home closes increased by two to 63 total sales on the month. Condo sales increased by one to 96 total units sold in September. Land sales remained unchanged.

The official statistics offer a little more granularity with sales figures listed at a community level. They also include comparative sales data going back to January of 2005. In the introductory commentary, RAM executive Terry Tolman keeps tabs on the total current inventory of homes, land and condos on the market. This is an interesting number to follow based on the premise that we are likely to see a steady decrease in inventory prior to any stabilization in prices. Land and condo inventory both decreased this month. The home inventory saw a slight increase. Without further ado, here are the September 2010 Maui Real Estate Statistics.
