I have a few updates on our town of Paia. Tuesday night Flatbread will be hosting a community night that will help underwrite this year’s Paia Gives event. A portion of each pizza sold will go towards the event and some of Paia’s merchants will have items up for silent auction. Paia Gives is a community celebration held for the first time last year by the Merchants of Paia at the start of the holiday shopping season. Merchants stayed open late, had refreshments and held raffles for merchandise that would benefit local non-profits. The event raised thousands of dollars for charities like the Paia Youth and Cultural Center, Manao Radio, and Hospice Maui. Tuesday night’s event runs from 7:00-9:00 PM. In addition to the food and auction, Karen B will be performing her soulful tunes.
Indigo Paia just launched their new website. Indigo offers a variety of high quality Asian imports including jewelry, bedspreads, relics, photos and textiles. Their organic dye, hand spun rugs are quite simply the best available in all of Hawaii. Their new website includes pictures of all of the rugs available in the store.
Last but not least, I have one Paia Real Estate item of note. I saw a new listing on the MLS the other day that caught my eye. The fixer upper in the skill village area of Paia is the lowest priced oceanview home I have seen in Paia in sometime and is well below recent comparable sales. The home has three beds/one and a half baths and great views of the North Shore coastline, the West Maui mountains and the east end of Molokai. It is listed through Equity One Real Estate for $360,000. . The Jalbert brothers may represent you as buyer’s agents. Contact us for additional information. Click here for photos of the property.
