Frequent trips to Indonesia were made to bring back both construction materials and finishing touches. An antique Chinese door imported from Indonesia marks the entryway the master bedroom. Antique Indonesian carvings wrap around the hood of the gourmet viking stove. If the owner saw wood or stone carvings that he wanted to incorporate into the home, he would purchase the pieces or commision local artisans to create replicas.
