The Maui County Council is in the midst of reviewing the 2008-2209 fiscal budget. At this point, council has indicated that tax rates will not increase for the next fiscal year. This is in spite of flattening property tax assessments. The current rates charge the lowest rates to the primary residences of island residents. Time shares pay the highest rates. Check out the Maui County Website for the Current Maui County Property tax rates. We will post any changes in rates on THE Maui Real Estate Blog.
