Maui Tsunami Update: Safe and Sound in Paia Town

Thanks to all those who sent well wishes to us last night and today. Martin was safe off island. Billy and I are feeling sleep deprived today, but safe and relieved that things didn’t turn out worse. The tsunami brought small scale flooding to some oceanfront properties and adjoining roadways. I shot a quick video some of the small scale damage in the neighborhood this morning. Forgive the narration. I was running on no sleep at this point.

While Maui was relatively lucky, it was heart breaking to see the loss of lives and destruction in Japan. If you would like to help the people of Japan, here is a link to non-profits that are accepting donations and coordinating relief efforts.
