Today is day four of the Maui Film Festival at Wailea. There are a number of great events planned throughout the day including one of the highlights of Maui’s culinary calendar.
- The Taste of Wailea is scheduled for today at 4:30 PM at the David Leadbetter Golf Academy on the Wailea Gold and Emerald Course. The event features some of the best chefs on the island. Participating restaurants include Capische!, Ferraro’s, Ko, Nick’s Fish Market, Tommy Bahamas, The Grand Wailea, Mulligan’s, Mala Wharf, and Cafe Mambo. Tickets are $210 at the door if available and they include a ticket to a Celestial Cinema double feature and tickets to a Castle Theater Event. You may want to contact the festival regarding availability as this is always a popular event.
- It looks like two more good films are on tap for the double feature at the Celestial Cinema. The first film of the evening is The Great Buck Howard. This dramedy features the star studded cast of John Malkovich, Tom Hanks, Colin Hanks, Emily Blunt and Steve Zahn. The second show of the night is Before the Rains. This melodrama looks at the clash of cultures in Colonial India. Tickets to both films are $20. Tickets to just Before the Rains are $10. The Celestial Cinema is located at the golf center for the Emerald and the Gold golf courses. Parking is off site with shuttles running to the venue. Arrive early for the best seating!
