Saturday Festivals on Maui

Topics

There are two festivals of note happening tomorrow on Maui. The first is the Haiku School Ho’olaule’a and Flower Festival. The event is held at the Haiku Community Center from 9:00-3:30. The festical features a farmer’s market, grower’s market, floral design and lei contest, silent auction, fresh food, keiki zone, local knowledge and history via area Kapuna and lots of live music. This is always a fun event and it benefits the school!

Tomorrow is also the Maui County Ag Festival being held at the grounds of the Maui Tropical Plantation in Waikapu. This event features a huge Maui Grown farmer’s market, farm and barnyard games, information on Maui grown agricultural products, farming and gardening advice and a Taste Education event that pairs local farmers with local chefs to highlight dishes that can be prepared with Maui agricultural products. The event runs from 9:00-4:00. It is a great way to learn about local agriculture and its part in creating a more sustainable Maui.
