I guess my snow on Maui post was not too far from the truth. While I mentioned that Haleakala occasionally will get a dusting, Billy indicated that the Maui News reported a dusting on the summit when last week’s storms blew through the islands. It’s hard to imagine snow in Maui when the low temperatures closer to sea level were in the high 70s. This is a good reminder to bring some warm clothes if you ever plan to venture up to Haleakala’s summit.
