Not likely in the immediate forecast. We occasionally will get a dusting on top of 10,000 foot Haleakala, but the weather looks warm and sunny for the next week. However, the Maui Arts and Cultural Center will be hosting Warren Miller’s latest snow sports extravaganza “Impact” tommorow night. Warren Miller has been making ski films for a looong time. His exciting footage and distinctive commentary have made him a true legend in snow sports. While it might seem odd that the MACC is hosting a movie on skiing and snowboarding in Maui, there are plenty of Maui residents who like to get out on the slopes and a number of people like myself who have made the migration from snow states. Warren’s annual stop in Maui helps us get our snow fix without having to trade our flip flops for ski boots.
