Spencer overcomes final hurdle before sales

Henry Spencer’s E Paepae Ka Pukoa Subdivision in Spreckelsville received its special management area approval on Tuesday night. This decision means that Spencer will be able to start working on the infrastructure necessary for the subdivision. It also means that sales of the lots are likely to begin in the next couple of weeks. We have been keeping close tabs on this development throughout the approval process. If you would like more information on the project, contact us today.

In other development news on the North Shore of Maui, the Paia Town Center’s environmental assessment was passed. This project involves a parcel of land that runs from Charley’s restaurant all the way to the block of shops that includes Mandala Ethnic Arts and Alice in Hula Land. The project will see the construction of more shops in the area between Milagro’s and Alice in Hula Land, a paved parking area with improved lighting and security and an additional commercial building back in the South East corner of the lot. A small home on Luna Lane will be taken down to accommodate the additional commercial structure. None of the existing commercial structures are slated to be torn down. The approval of the environmental assessment means the project may proceed to the next step of applying for the rezoning necessary for the project. Pending that approval, the project will next have to get SMA approval. We will continue to monitor the approval process for this new commercial development in Paia.
