Kuau Beach House

When people move to Maui or buy a second home on island, many are seeking out a beach lifestyle. They want the surf, the sun and the sand and they want it close to home. Our new beach house listing in Kuau is a great home base if your vision of Maui is focused on the beach. Located on a quiet street with no through traffic, it is just a few minutes walk from the front door to the sand of Tavares Bay. Tavares is a great place to soak in the sun, go for a swim, or surf. The house is just a few minutes drive from world renowned Ho’okipa Beach Park and its great windsurfing, kiting and surfing. Paia town is walking distance from the home. There you will find good restaurants, one of the best little health food stores on the planet, boutiques galore and a variety of yoga studios.

The three bedroom, two and a half bath home is very well designed. The focal point of the home is the large and open great room and kitchen area. Vaulted ceilings and a wall of sliding glass doors open up to the large lanai area. The sliders allow for good ocean views from throughout the room. This room is a great space for entertaining friends and family. On one side of the living room is the master suite area. You can check the surf on the outer reefs from bed. Just off the master is a nice nook that could be used as an office, reading room, nursery space or a yoga/meditation room. The other two bedrooms are on the opposite side of the home from the master. If you want to get a better sense of the floor plan and the interior, you can take a 3d tour of the house. It is the next best thing to seeing the home in person.

The home has a photovoltaic system and a solar hot water system. This limits the home’s environmental impact and your monthly electric bill has a lighter impact on your wallet.

The home has an oversized double car port and a detached one car garage with copious amounts of storage and a bathroom. There is also a 100 square foot storage shed with electricity. If your vision of the beach lifestyle includes lots of water toys, there is plenty of room for all your surfboards, stand up paddle boards, windsurfing gear, kitesurfing gear, fishing equipment, kayaks and canoes.

The half acre lot was lovingly landscaped with a variety of native plants, garden areas and fruit trees. Edibles include but are not limited to, Julia Mangoes, Avocados, citrus and Princess lilikoi. Nice rock work and two outdoor showers are other nice exterior features of the property.

This home is a residential condominium with its own separate water meter. The only shared element is the driveway. This property is offered for sale for $2,250,000. This property is no longer listed for sale. Contact the Maui Real Estate Team for assistance with other Kuau and Paia area Homes for Sale.

Paia Area Oceanfront Lot

This is a rare opportunity to design and build your own oceanfront dream home in the Kuau area of Paia on Maui’s North Shore. There are only a handful of vacant lots available on the water in and around Paia. It is also a premier lot. The Western orientation means the prevailing trade winds blow off shore from your property. It also means stunning West Maui Mountain and Sunset views from your future lanai. Speaking of views, you can check the surf from this property. You will be able to check the conditions at Noriega’s and Tavares Bay. The zoning of the property allows for a number of different construction options including multiple dwellings.

The neighborhood, known both as Kuau Point and Kuau Sunset, is one of the more desirable neighborhoods in the Paia area. You can walk to Mama’s Beach. Of course that means that you can also walk to the world renowned Mama’s Fish House for lunch or dinner. It is also a short stroll with your board to the launch area to SUP, surf or windsurf at Noriega’s or the Mama’s Surf Break. The Kuau Store means you don’t have to hop in a car to pick up a coffee or grab a quick lunch. Ho’okipa Beach Park is less than a half of a mile from the neighborhood. Paia Town and its shopping, restaurants, amazing health food store and yoga studios are less than a mile away.

This Kuau Oceanfront lot is offered for $3,395,000. This lot sold!  Contact The Maui Real Estate Team for assistance with other Oceanfront lots or Kuau Point listings.

Among the Very Best of Kuau Bayview

What makes our listing in Kuau Bayview one of the best homes in the neighborhood? It starts with a great location. Located at the very top of the Kuau Bayview, the home is oriented to take advantage of ocean, West Maui Mountain, Kahakuloa and Molokai Views. The home is situated on a quiet street with a cul de sac limiting through traffic. A public park is just a two minute walk away. This home is also a standout due to the thoughtful 600 square foot addition completed by the designer/owner. The addition included a large 4th bedroom, a three sides of glass view office, master bedroom lanai and a kitchen sunroom extension. The lanai and glass view office were both designed to take full advantage of the spectacular views offered from the home. The original flooring in the kitchen and living room was replaced with bamboo giving the home a tropical and casual feel. The original siding was replaced with more durable hardie panel cement siding. The back yard of the home offers ocean views, but still provides privacy due to fencing and mature landscaping. Two storage sheds are great for water sport toys. With the commanding ocean views from the home, you will always know the wind and wave conditions so you can take maximum advantage of your surf, kite, SUP and windsurf gear.

All of the above make this home one of the best in one of the North Shore’s most appealing neighborhoods. In addition to be a short stroll to a park, it takes about ten minutes to walk into Paia town via sidewalk. Paia is known for its great shops and restaurants. You are also within walking distance to beaches at Tavares Bay and Paia Bay. Ho’okipa Beach Park and Baldwin Beach are a short car or bike ride from the neighborhood. The great location is one of the big reasons why Kuau Bayview is one of the Hottest Real Estate Markets on Maui.

This home is offered for $899,000. Check out the listing page for 16 Kaiea Place for additional photos and details on the home. Contact The Maui Real Estate Team to arrange a showing or to discuss the property.

Our Kuau Bayview Buyers cite a number of reasons as to why they chose to purchase in the neighborhood.

  • Location. It is tough to beat this location if you want to be near Paia town. You are a five minute walk to all of Paia’s shops and restaurants. Fantastic water sports are close at Ho’okipa Beach Park, Tavares Bay and Paia Bay. Kuau Bayview is also just a fifteen minute drive from the businesses and medical care of Central Maui.
  • Family friendly. There are a lot of kids in this neighborhood. The cul de sacs make for slower street traffic. There is also a park at the top of the subdivision that is a great place to turn the kids loose.
  • Pride of ownership. The neighborhood has consistent pride of ownership. The vast majority of homes and yards are well cared for by their owners. The homes are all less then twenty years old and for the most part are in good condition.
  • Views. Some of the properties in the neighborhood have very good views. To be clear, not all of the properties in the neighborhood are view properties. Those that do have views have nice vistas of the ocean and the West Maui Mountains.
