The Meadows at Makawao
The Meadows at Makawao is a subdivision with 57 homes located just below Makawao Elementary School. Lots in the neighborhood range from roughly 6,500 square feet to 10,000 square feet. The Meadows has underground utilities which makes for beautiful unobstructed views of Haleakala. The homes themselves were built in 1988 and 1989. There were originally two single story floor plans and one two story floor plan. Over the years, a few of the homes in the neighborhood have had additions. Homes range in size from 1,100 square feet to over 2,000 square feet. Recent sales in the neighborhood have seen single story floor plans close in the low 600s with the last two story sale in the neighborhood closing in the low 700s. You will see some variability in values in the Meadows at Makawao depending on upgrades and conditions of the home.
The Meadows at Makawao is within walking distance of downtown Makawao, Makawao Elementary and Eddie Tam Park. It is convenient to a number of private schools and roughly 20 minutes to Central Maui and North Shore Beaches. There have been periods over the last few years when there are no active listings in the neighborhood.
