The Jalbert brothers’ parents are in town for a week from the mainland. A couple of days ago, I drove Upcountry with my folks for lunch in Makawao and a quick walk at the Ali’i Kula Lavender farm. It was great to get a little cool air and take in the views and overall scenery of this picturesque part of the island. Here are a handful of photos from the day’s outing.

It’s more than just Lavender at the Farm. There are all sorts of beautiful plants, flowers, fruit trees and more on the property.
On the way back down, we stopped at a farm stand to buy some Fresh Kula Corn and beautiful Tomatoes. The views weren’t too bad either.
Ali’i Kula Lavender Farm is open Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday from 10:00-4:00PM. While we just walked around the gardens on our own, walking and cart tours are scheduled daily.
