Walk in Voting Available on Maui as of Tomorrow

For those that will be off island on election day or would like to exercise their right to vote early, walk in voting will be available on Maui as of Tuesday October 21st at three different locales.

The three sites and the hours of operation for the polling places are as follows:

  • Wailuku, office of the County Clerk, seventh floor, Kaulana O Maui building; 8:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. October 21-October 25 and October 27-November 1.
  • West Maui, Lahaina Civic Center social hall; 9:30 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. October 21-October 25 and October 27-30; 9:30 A.M. to 3:00 P.M. October 25, October 31 and November 1.
  • Molokai, Mitchell Pauole Center, 8:00 A.M. to Noon and 1:00 to 4:00 P.M., October 21-October 25 and October 27-30; 8:00 AM.-Noon, October 25; 8:00 AM to Noon and and 1:00 t0 3:00 PM, October 31.

In addition to the important presidential election and state races, this is a very important election for the county of Maui. All of the Maui County Council seats are up for grabs. With the Maui County General Plan under way, the bed and breakfast/TVR debate in full swing and numerous other important county issues on the docket, this will be a critical race for shaping the future direction of Maui County.
