Tomorrow, Maui will be paying tribute to its most famous winter visitors. Whale Day 2008 will be held in Kalama Park in Kihei. The all day event includes a parade, keiki carnival, concerts, food, and environmental education. The parade kicks off the day as participants march down South Kihei Road from the Kihei Library down past Kalama park. The musicians performing include John Cruz, Henry Kapono, the Barefoot Natives, George Kahumoku Jr., Vince Esquire and Marty Dread. Bring your smiles and your sunscreen down from to Kihei for Whale Day. While your there, if you take a moment to look away from the stage, you will likely see the guests of honor frolicking somewhere offshore. Check out the Pacific Whale Foundation Site for additional information.
